Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. has announced the expansion of its in-house developed NFT provision solution, Resela, making it available to various companies and organizations interested in exploring web3 services. The solution will now operate on the Avalanche blockchain, developed by Ava Labs Inc.
Launched in 2020 by Ava Labs, Avalanche is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain network that aims to solve the blockchain trilemma of security, decentralization, and scalability with the help of its specifically developed consensus mechanism named Snowball.
Like its direct competitors Ethereum, Solana, and Polkadot, the Avalanche network supports smart contracts and decentralized applications (Dapps) to run on its blockchains. The Avalanche network has recently emerged as a powerhouse in the realm of decentralized applications, web3 gaming, and NFTs. With its high throughput and low fees, it's no wonder that game developers are flocking to this platform.
Resela offers a streamlined and user-friendly platform for designing, issuing, and selling NFTs. It allows the creation of marketplaces where users can trade NFTs without needing a web3 wallet or specialized knowledge in cryptocurrency. This solution simplifies transactions, enabling them to be conducted in Japanese yen, thereby enhancing accessibility for a broader audience.
The versatility of Resela makes it suitable not only for new web3 services but also for transforming existing web2 services into web3. By making Resela accessible, Konami aims to foster a safe environment for integrating web3 technologies across various consumer industries, extending beyond gaming.
Resela envisions a future where the user experience transcends service boundaries. In this interconnected ecosystem, in-game NFTs might serve as event tickets or shop vouchers, while event ticket NFTs could transform into in-game characters. Konami plans to collaborate with other companies to innovate and deliver new experiences for fans.
Resela will transition from its proprietary blockchain to the Avalanche subnet by Ava Labs. This enterprise-grade blockchain, widely used in global finance and gaming, will enhance the security and scalability of the service, making it more accessible to a diverse user base.
